C of C -week 20

Week 2o over at Studio L3 has us exploring the delights of Industrial Grunge. All information can be found on page 54 of Tim Holtzs' Compendium of Curiosities. There are some great examples at Linda's , when you pop over to take a look.

I have made my piece into a tree hanging. The shape was made from a TH on the edge die. To colour it, I used silver mixative and tumbled glass ink. Not having all the bits and pieces, I used an old nail file, sandpaper and a pokey tool to aid the distressing. The picture in the frame is from Craft Individuals, and die cut flowers embellishments.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

  12. Okay, I want my entire tree to be decorated with ornaments just like this. Meggymay, this is stunning! I love the cool, metallic background you created with the Industrial Grunge technique, and the sweet Santa and vibrant poinsettias are absolutely elegant.

I hope you don't mind if I borrow this idea for my own decorations this year!
