I have a new Blog

Hello friends.
After losing this blog a couple of weeks ago and the trauma of recovering the content. I  still find it impossible to get a side bar up and running. A huge thanks to Daniele's son for getting me this far..
So, I have decided to take the easier option and open a new blog.  'Meggys Way'.
Thankyou all for following my here and I hope you might find a moment to come and visit me at my new home.

C. of C. - week 28

Week 28 already and a new challenge set for us by Linda over at StudioL3. This time we are exploring the technique found on page 57 of the Compendium of Curiosities.

Colourful Layered Fragments. Now I don't have all the right equipment so a few substitutes were made. I realy had fun with a paintbrush and my alcohol inks , this will give a clue to the items I didn't have. The stamps I used were by Creative expressions.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look at mine

Inspired by a poem

This week the challenge over at Try It On Tuesdays is a Free Choice of project, card, tag, scrapbook page etc.

But, it must be inspired by a poem, which we ask you to include somewhere in your post to share it with everyone.

My piece is inspired by 'If' a poem by Rudyard Kipling. It is spread over a couple of pages in a journal [ a new venture for me]. I used a variety of stamps for the background and used mainly Teabag and Vintage photo distress inks to colour. The main images are by Elusive images and Paper Artsy.

The poem is written in full on the page, but here is the last verse which is my very favourite part.

If

If you cantalk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with kings-nor loose the common touch,

If neither foes noe loving friends can hurt you.

If all men count with you, but none to much,

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds'worth of distance to run,

Yours is the earth and everything that's in it,

And-which is more-you'll be a man my son!

by Rudyard Kipling

Please pop over and see the super examples at TioT and thankyou for calling to see mine.

p.s. still having blog problems and cannot get a new background up and running.

Re-lost blog

After much trauma and my patient everloving hubby, I seem to have made some sort of breakthrough and fingers crossed I think I have restored my blog. I am not going to tamper with it yet to pretty it up. I need a few days and a stiff G and T to get over the stress.

Lost Blog Content

Had a bit of a disaster and lost all my blog content, can anyone help

C. of C. -week27

Another week gone by and another Compendium of Curiosites challenge over at StudioL3. This week Linda has us exploring the world of Distress Misting Masks. All the instuctions can be found on page 60 of Tim Holtz book, we would have to sit on the naughty step if we told you how we made our example of this technique.

So here is my version, with added bits and pieces from my craft stash.

Please pop over to Linda's to see some fabulous pieces and thankyou for stopping by to see mine.

Its a Mans World

This week over at Try It On Tuesdays the challenge is to make a Tag that is themed for a Man. There are some super examples for you to see, we hope you will join the fun.

My tag is made using stamps by Elusive Images and Stampers Anonymous, with bits and pieces from my stash. Once again I have used Vintage Photo and Teabag distress inks to colour the tag.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a peep at mine.

Creativity

I have named this Atc Creativity because I realy liked this word stamp by Stampers Anonymous. So many times have I put aside my mistakes with the hope that one day I might find them useful. Yes, I am a hoarder of all things crafty and cannot part with anything that might just one day be just what I am looking for.

I have kept to a colour palate of Snow, Pine and Mahogony using Pine Needles and Aged Mahogony distress inks, with white embossing for the swirls.

This criteria fits the new GC84 Colour Challenge over at Gingersnap Creations

The swirl stamp I have had for a while, the others are all Tim Holtz S.A.

Also found that this will fit in with another couple of challenges

The Artistic stamper creative team New Year Challenge-Things with Wings.

Lets Ink It Up challenge8 - Anything Goes.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

C. of C.- week 26

Week 26 for the on going Compendium of Curiosities challenge over at Studio L3 Linda has brought us to page 45 of Tim Holtz book and the art of producing Rusted Grunge.

I loved trying this technique. My base card is embossed then highlighted with tea dye and vintage photo distress inks. The stamp is from TH Purely Random collection, just right I thought for graffiti on the wall.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

New Beginings

New Beginings and a new name for Tuesday Taggers. An exciting time for us all, with the completely new revamped blog called Try It on Tuesday please go and take a look, read all about the changes and join us there.

So this week , the challenge is to make a card with the theme of New Beginings.

I had a new craft CD for Christmas by Joanna Sheen called Enchanted Dreams, featuring the amazing paintings of Josephine Wall. There is so much detail in the picture that I only embossed the base card and added some embellishments.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

Happy New Year

It is hard to believe that another year has passed so quickly.
I would like to wish all my blogging friends a Happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

This callender I made as a gift, each page is 2.5 inches square. I used some Crafty Individual pictures, a mini callender tab book as well as stamps and embellishments.
I have missed photographing a couple of months, they are the same style as the rest of the pages.

I realy enjoyed making this, thankyou for stopping by to take a look.
