GC68- Red and Black

Over at Gingersnap Creations, the current colour challenge is Red and Black.

This Atc is stamped in black [Aspects of design stamp], the words I think are Elusive Images, painted the heart with cosmic shimmers, then shaded the atc with distress inks, before adding a few embellishments.

Thankyou for coming by to take a look.

ATC- Dreamer.

This Atc has an acetate overlay with an image of a girl stamped on it, she looks far away with her thoughts. It was coloured with distress inks and because I have managed to use some yellow on the background, I will be entering it on the new Lets Ink It Up Challenge Site. The current theme is anything goes with a touch of yellow. There are some gorgeous inspiring things to see on his new challenge blog, please go and take a look.

Thankyou for stopping by to have a peep.

Bankholiday weekend in Caravanland.

Well here we are in a field full of caravans and Landrover buffs.

Meggymay relaxing under one of the families 'big boys toys', before it went out to play in the trees and mud.

Any crafting I manage to get done will be a bonus for the next couple of days.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Tuesday Taggers--poetry

The challenge at Tuesday Taggers this week is to be inspired by poetry.

A poem that I realy like is 'Warning' by Jenny Joseph and begins,

When I am old I shall wear purple.........

All about a wonderful eccentric charactor, a woman after my own heart.

I used one of my new Debbie Moore stamps and lots of shades of purple to create this piece.

C. of C -week11- Blended Batik

This weeks challenge over at StudioL3 is found on page 36 of TH book, Blended batik, I have to admit this is a new to me.

As I am currently away in caravanland, folk may wonder why I have the dreaded household item of an iron with me. Well the said item, is a rather aged french appliance, that I have had for many moons, hardly used, with one careful owner. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would bless this being in my cupboard.

I used Paper Artsy, Bricks and Mortar stamps, Wild Honey, Vintage Photo and Black soot distress inks, for this 4x4inch piece.
I enjoyed trying this new technique for the words and hope that the result is how it should look

Curtains Up- stars of the silver screen

The challenge this week over at Tag you're it, is Stars of the Silver Screen. So, there I was, once again in caravanland with my bits box emptied all over all the available surfaces searching for a few Diva's. I knew they were lurking. The pictures were in an old Crafty individuals free give away booklet. A bit of embossing on the edge, a tassle, flowers and distressed inks completed my tag.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

Tuesday Taggers - sea-side

This week the theme over at Tuesday Taggers has gone all nautical.

Sea, sand, boats. This spurred me on today to finish a small project I started a couple of weeks ago.

This wallbox is only 3x4 inches approx, I added a roof and gave it a coat of shimmer paint. The pictures are by Crafty Individuals, the seagulls are Elusive Images stamps cut out. A bit of net and a few embellishments complete my piece.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

Compendium of Curiosities-week10

This weeks challenge over at Studio L3, is Distress Stickles, found on page 46 of TH book.

The main image on this Atc was made using a TH Journey stamp, and various others from my box of favourites. I used distress inks to colour and the 3 colours of stickles I used are Vintage Photo. Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap.

TYI-No Stamps Allowed.

Oh dear, not able to use stamps for this weeks challenge at Tag You're It. So when I got over the trauma, I decided to make a card.

Layered papers for the base. A piece embossed with music, what would I do without my bigshot. The picture is from a Crafty Individuals booklet , a die cut bird and a few feathers, complete my card. I used comic shimmer paint, to colour the bird, but had to use distress ink to shade my embossed card.

Thankyou for taking time to have a look.

Summer sunshine

I have made this simple tag using a Lily of the Valley stamp. The little girl on her swing, with no cares in the world, when summer days lasted forever and the sun was always shining. Memories.

I used coptic pens and cosmic shimmer to colour the tag. A bright flower, fabric brad and mini tag as embellishments.

I think this tag fits the challenges of Sunshine at-
Tuesday Taggers
GC63 Random redhead challenge at Gingersnap creations
Lily of the Valley Challenge blog this week is Four Seasons, she might appear there as well.

Another week for this super challenge over at StudioL3 and we are on page 42 of TH book, distress crackle.

Tag You're It- Monogram

This weeks challenge is to include a Monogram. Please call over to ' Tag You're It' and see the gorgeous DT examples.

I decided to use a Crafty Individual picture of a Mother and Child, so my letter is 'L' for love.

My background is cut from an Alterations 'on the edge' die, this is stamped but is quite hard to see. The lace, flowers, mesh, fabric butterfly etc. all came from my stash boxes.

ATCs -Time

These three ATCs have been made for the Stampman ATC swap-theme- Time

The backgrounds were made using various Paper Artsy time stamps to give a collage effect . I used shrink plastic to make my embellishments using the same stamps.

One of the ATCs has a face stamped into the centre of the clock, using an Aspects of design stamp.

As I used only two colours Tumbled glass and Wild Honey to colour these ATCs , I will enter one in the Stampman Fortnightly Challenge

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

Tag You're It- 3 colours

Here are my other two tags for the new monthly swap over at Tag You're It. Please go and have a look at the super DT tags.

Colours to be used are olive, orange and antique white,

I used pieces of lace on both and distress inks to colour. The children stamp is Paperbag Studio, I loved the words. But I cannot find a name for the other tag's stamp.

Wall Hanging

When I started this hanging I didnt realise that the colours I had in mind to use, fitted the current Gingersnap Creations Colour challenge- yellow, red and orange.

The background is stamped and embossed, the keys and quotes are from Tracey Coates collection, available from the Stampman. I think nearly everyone will recognise my TH heart.

The colouring is a mixture of distress inks and chalk.

Tuesday Taggers- Lots of Black

Tuesday Taggers theme this week is Black, lots of it. So into the papers box and a promise to myself to keep my hands away from my rubber stamps. One piece of card went through my big-shot to give some texture, some lace to frame my butterfly. I tried to keep this one simple as I tend always to want to add more.

Over at Studio L3 we are up to week 8 of this super challenge. This week its, inking grunge found on page 39 of Tim's book.

Using grunge paper flowers, cut from the Tattered florals die, some favourite stamps and distrees ink. This is my result for the theme.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look.

Tag you're It- 3colours

This week over at Tag you're It, the challenge was to use only 3 colours, burnt orange, olive and antique white. This is my take on the colours using what I have in my stash. The background I stamped with musical instruments from a Stampman plate, the rock chic is a Debbie Moore stamp, I love her boots.
